The American Cornhole Association specifies that the cornhole boards in an outdoor cornhole set are required to be 47½ to 48 inches long and 23½ to 24 inches wide. In addition to the specific cornhole board dimensions, the association also says that the boards must be at least half an inch thick.


A cornhole board’s hole is 6 inches in diameter, with the center of the hole 9 inches from the top of the board and 12 inches from the board’s edges. The front of a cornhole board should be 3 to 4 inches from bottom to top, and the back should be about 12 inches from the ground at the deck’s highest point.
