"The shell sounds wonderful and it looks great. The lip of the shell has been cut from one edge all the way to the other, leaving a smooth, unweathered edge. The mouth-piece hole is adequate and functional. I did a little extra sanding and shaping to make it more comfortable to play for me personally. The adjustments were easy because the mouth-piece was already just about perfect and the shell material is softer than other shells like frog shell, making it easy to shape with a small metal file. The harvest hole on the back is filled well, the plaster-like material has been smoothed and shaped to match the shape of the shell. There are no rough burs or spackle pieces in the filling material. Over all a very nice conch shell horn and worth the purchase if you'd like a heavy duty but compact shell horn."
