The Jama; a modern interpretation of Jamevar/Jamavar, is exquisitely intricate embroidery which covers every square millimeter of a pashmina with different designs, traditional or contemporary.

100% hand embroidered, hand woven cashmere.

Craft &Technique:Kashmiri sozni is among the elite legacy of Kashmir. Artisanal masterpieces are handcrafted by the Sozin kaars (needle workers), with a fine needle. The traditional motfis comprise paisley, iris, lotus, and saffron flowers, called badum in the local terminology. Nature always inspires these beautiful motifs, hence even cherries and grapes along with daffodils and marigolds can be seen creating a mesmerising piece of sozni craft.  The process of creating such an intricate craft is quite meticulous. Once the fabric peice is chosen, it undergoes an elaborate sequence of artisanal processes including selection of a design, taking it to a nakash (block printer) who block prints the design and then the sozin kaars hand embroider the motifs to perfection delivering a fine balanced beauty.
