The Microfiber Pillowcases do not have a thread count. Pillowcases made from 100% Polyester Microfiber will not have a thread count and will not be categorized by thread count.

- Microfiber can have thousands of threads per square inch (thread count). Having this many threads per square inch makes the quantity of threads less important in determining quality.
- The 1st characteristic of a good quality microfiber pillowcase is that the microfiber threads are tightly woven adding durability and a smooth finish.
- After weaving, the 2nd step that affects quality is brushing or “peaching”. This step further softens the fabric surface and also allows it to breathe. This is the step that varies greatly between manufacturers. The amount of brushing will determine the finished quality of the pillowcases.
- The 3rd characteristic used to compare microfiber sheets and pillowcases is the fabric weight or GSM “grams per square meter”. The higher the GSM number, the thicker the fabric will be when finished.
