The Zero Clearance Insert is made of solid black 8mm MDF and fits perfectly into the Festool Kapex KS120 and KS88. CNC manufactured!

The advantage of such an insert is that you can cut the workpiece without splinters. This is especially useful with a miter saw when cutting small pieces or strips, so they don't fall down.

For miter cuts, where the miter saw is tilted sideways, the insert cannot be used, as it would get damaged and can no longer be used for splinter-free cuts. For miter cuts, use a separate insert.

We have put a lot of care and attention into optimizing this insert. The screw holes are pre-drilled with 3mm, depending on the production year of your machine, you may need to drill them open yourself with an IRON drill bit of 4 or 5mm (check the diameter of your bolts), so not with a wood drill as it may wander in your material.
