Will my jewelry tarnish?

Tarnish is the result of substances in the air reacting to the various metal alloys found in sterling silver. While gold-filled jewelry doesn't tarnish the same way as sterling, it may discolor or get a spotty appearance. The easiest way to avoid tarnishing or discoloration is to wear your jewelry. The natural oils on your skin will coat and form a protective barrier on the metal's surface. If you are not wearing, store in a zip bag or box to keep your jewelry from contact with air.

Are these hypo-allergenic?

I only use sterling silver and/or 14kt gold filled materials in my jewelry. These are generally safe, but it depends on the severity of the allergy. HOWEVER, as it is possible that nickel or other metals can be present in the alloy, these jewelry pieces are NOT strictly hypoallergenic.

Are the earrings very heavy?

Not at all! They are quite light. You can wear these earrings all day and not even know you are wearing them. However, due to their size, sleeping in them is not recommended.

What kind of crystal is in the center of these designs?

It's a Austrian crystal flatback. They are more commonly found in the garment and clothing industry. Ever watch a movie with elaborately beaded historical gowns glittering with gems? Or been to the ballet and seen the tiny sparks of light reflecting off the dancers' costumes? Austrian crystal flatbacks. An incredibly historical crystal stone cut, now used to create your jewelry!

What if I change my mind?

All my jewelry pieces are made to order for you. Please let me know as soon as possible (within a 12 hour window) if you decide against a purchase or if you need to adjust the length etc, of your jewelry.

How do I care for my jewelry?

It’s best to remove jewelry before showering or swimming as harsh cleaning soaps and chemicals can affect the finish of the beads and the longevity of your jewelry. Make-up, hairspray, perfume, and other such products can also affect the finish, so jewelry should be the last thing you put on and the first thing you take off. To clean woven pendants, earrings, and crystal beads wipe with a soft cloth or wash gently in warm water (with a very mild soap, if necessary) to preserve the luster and finish of the beads and crystals. The metal chain, clasp, and earring parts can be wiped with jewelry cleaner or a polishing cloth, or gently rinsed in water to remove any build up.

This diamond necklace is woven from the the palest, cleanest, iciest aqua blue color imaginable. Clean and clear, like fragments of frost twinkling on a frozen branch. HOW ITS MADE:
These beaded pieces are woven by hand using a needle and thread. Each bead is picked up one at a time and manipulated to form the desired shape. Once the general form is determined, layers of beads and embellishments are added to create structure, texture, and depth. On necklaces and bracelets, each end of the chain is finished by wrapping small pieces of wire into tiny links. Each link features a small accent bead captured within. The beaded links can also be connected in patterns and attached to varying lengths of chain to form designs. These beadweaving and wireworking techniques are very rewarding and result in intricate, structurally sound, and incredibly beautiful jewelry!
