Highlights
Good King Henry seeds. Hardy perennial to Zone 4. Young shoots can be boiled and eaten like asparagus and the leaves maybe used as a substitute for spinach. Use in dishes that call for spinach. Clump forming with dark green leaves and reach about 18 inches tall. Nice cottage garden plant. Can use leaf all season. Sow seed in the fall or early spring or you may start them indoors. Seeds need 4 weeks cold refrigetation to break dormancy before planting if planting indoors. Do not skip this step or they may not sprout. Press seed onto moist soil and keep moist until germination which is one to three weeks. Plant 12 inches apart. 40 seeds per pkt.
