The Faceted Orb

​A dialogue between the curve and the edge. This hand-carved vessel is defined by its compact, rounded silhouette and deep exterior faceting. Unlike the linear rhythm of the fluted series, "The Faceted Orb" explores a more centered, grounded geometry.

​Shaped slowly by hand from a single block of solid upcycled Sapele, the piece features bold, multi-directional tool marks that catch the light like a gemstone. The interior is hollowed to a smooth, inviting basin, creating a striking contrast with the raw, textured exterior. It is a grounding object, designed to be held and used daily.

Rubio Monocoat. A food-safe, plant-based oil that highlights the deep "ribbon" figure of the Sapele grain.

​Care

​Wipe clean with a damp cloth and towel dry immediately. Do not soak. The surface is easily maintained; a single drop of wood oil every few years will keep the Sapele vibrant as it develops a natural patina.

​This is a one-of-a-kind, hand-carved piece. The intentional tool marks and natural variations in the timber are signatures of its handmade origin.
