ABOUT THE BLANKETS

Weighted blankets work by applying pressure to the body to help the person relax, fall asleep faster, easier and for a longer period of time. They are highly recommended for Autism Spectrum Disorder, Sensory processing disorder (SPD), Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD, PDD-NOS), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Insomnia, other sleeping disorders and many more. These weighted blankets do miracles for people with special needs. They provide comfort through the calming effect they have. It`s a drug free in-home treatment.

The Tututam blankets use non-toxic washable polypropylene pellets for weight which lie between two layers of polyester batting for extra softness without adding any unnecessary warmth. Each square pocket in the blanket contains a certain amount of weighted pellets thus providing weight distribution (preventing all the pellets from falling to the bottom of the blanket). All the squares at the edges are empty so there is no weight on the throat, and provide for easier folding and handling and even longer life of the blanket.

The Tututam weighted blankets are made from quality materials like cotton, wool, bamboo, and each one is crafted just for you! Rest assured that you will receive a high quality handcrafted product. I offer different sizes, colours, specific patterns and custom tags as e.g. your name. My blankets are designed to facilitate your child`s growth and be used for years to come.

I also make weighted lap pads for use at school, or meal time. The lap pads allow you to sit still and focus on the task in front of you.

The blankets pictured above are to show you some of my latest work. The blanket you order could be similar or quite different – it depends on you – just contact me before or after you've finished your order.

ABOUT YOUR ORDER

In order to achieve a smooth sale trade I will need your help!

Please follow the steps below:

Step 1. CHOOSE THE WEIGHT from the drop down menu. The general rule is 10% of the body weight. Example: if your weight is 55 kg, you should select 5,5 kg from the drop down menu. Please note that the final product will be a couple of kilograms heavier.

Step 2. Please always send me information via email within 24 hours about your FAVORITE COLOUR/S and your BODY HEIGHT measured from the throat down. The processing time will be delayed if this information is missing.

Step 3. Make sure you haven't skipped step 1 and 2 and finish your order :)
I cannot proceed without this information since this is 100 % CUSTOM PRODUCT. If you don't send me ALL the required details I'll be forced to produce your blanket with ONLY the information I have (weight and colour) and so I can`t guarantee its full effectiveness. Please note we need all that information to guarantee the correct weight distribution on your body.

IMPORTANT NOTES

*Do not open the packaged box with any sharp instruments.
*Always fold and carry your weighted blanket when transporting it to a different room. Never pull on your weighted blanket.
*Weighted blankets should never be used by infants or people who do not have the ability or strength to remove the blanket from their face or head.
*Weighted blankets are NOT recommended for children under 3 years of age!
*Please do not make your weighted blanket available to your pets as chewing and clawing can cause the blanket to tear and expose the pellets.
*Weighted blankets should NEVER be used as a restraint or punishment.
*Seller is not responsible for abuse or misuse of items.
*Don`t let the children play with weighted blankets alone.

WASHING

You can wash and dry our blankets in your washing machine. Large blankets should be washed without a centrifuge. It is best to wash in cold water and on a gentle cycle and dry using cool or warm air on delicate cycle. Do NOT use any bleach or liquid fabric softener.

DELIVERY TIME

Your blankets are made to order. I'll start working on your blanket as soon as possible in order to send it on time. But if there is some delay due to the Post, please don`t be mad at me! It happens sometimes.

DAMAGED AND LOST ITEMS

If a product arrives damaged please notify the delivery person. The note must be made by the delivery person stating the scale of the damage otherwise I cannot start the claim procedure. Please do not dispose of the damaged items, I will require evidence of the damaged item. This may be in a photographic form or I may require the return of the damaged item. For all returns of damaged items, I strongly recommend that you retain your receipt from the Post Office until you have received credit for your return. I regret that I cannot be held responsible for nondelivery of sent or returned items.
