Hello Etsy! I'm new here thanks to a suggestion from an awesome friend! I've been working in the graphic design industry for over a decade now. I majored in Art in High school and went on to graphic design school. I had many years experience in the production end too. I do vinyl graphics and built signs and marketing displays. Three years ago I found myself "accidentally" veering towards a new journey in life. I became a mom to an amazing little boy and made the very hard decision to leave my job (that I really, really loved) and become a stay at home mom. It's both the hardest and most rewarding job I ever had!

I love being a designer and doing just about anything where I can use the creative part of my brain. Whether it's jewelry making, decorating or taking photographs, I love being creative! This past summer I was chosen to be the Matron Of Honor in my best friend/cousins wedding and I had designed her invitations for her bridal shower, along with a ton of decorations. I brought the invitations back to my old coworker and friend and she suggested I start selling them on Etsy, she is also a seller (sweetmelissacreations) I didn't think much of it until a few weeks later when I realized working on some other things for the shower. I realized, I love what I do and I don't have to give it up. I can be a mom, a graphic designer and best of all, my own boss and so Friendly Invitations was born! I also love the wedding and party industry. I worked with one of the (who I think of as the best) photographers in New York (Denis Leon Photography) where I shot as a 2nd photographer and designed wedding albums. There's nothing more exciting than partaking in the happiest day of someone's life.

I'm more than happy to help you all with your special events. I plan on adding even more categories as well as other fun and exciting props in the future. Stay tuned!
