I am basically a creative mutt who gets excited over many artistic mediums. However, mixed media is a realm that I truly discovered this year. It feels like a creative match because it's all at once soulful and endless in its options for design...perfect for people like me who like to learn a new technique every two minutes. I enjoy creating spiritual pieces on wood but am also really loving the poetic potential of digital art.
Along with creative expression, I love all things spiritual... anything that leads you back to your own Wonder and natural generosity. In the evening, I live in and teach classes at a meditation center which is a beautiful haven. During the day, I work at a family theater and mingle with delightfully wacky people who keep me chuckling on a regular basis. We do a little design, a little mask making, puppetry, storytelling, etc... but I do have to rein in my spiritual streak with the artistic work there. Mixed media is an outlet where I can blend my worlds, a place where creativity and spirituality can dance in the wide open.
