Being a jewelry designer since a little girl, I have created several lines of jewelry throughout the years. Recently I was inspired by a jar of Vintage buttons I saw at a street festival; then again at a Vintage store in Phoenix, Cheap Thrills. The styles and textures captured my attention and thus inspired me to create my first Vintage button jewelry line, RubyMae Jewelry, RMJ. I love to make something new out of something forgotten.I repurpose old buckles, chains, belts and anything else I can find. I like to mix my metals and incorporate hard and soft textures. Everyhting I make is one of a kind and is not duplicated.
Custom pieces are also available. My clients bring to me their vintage items and I create them a sentimental, one of a kind piece of jewelry. Among items I have used in these custom pieces are Vintage buttons, old boy scout pins, a red cross clothing pin, broaches and earrings. Do not hesitate to convo me for estimates of customized bracelets or other items.
**RMJ is named after my grandmother Ruby Snedigar and her daughter Patricia Mae Jacobson, my Mother. Both women have lost their battle with cancer. A percentage of the proceeds from each sale are donated to Ovarian Cancer Research.
