AlbArgiva, the brand name, which I coined for my creations is composed of two words that stigmatize and contemplate the archaic flashes of art and beauty of the ancient Greek civilization that has also been able to illuminate the Roman world with its fine and refined culture, always clearly perceptible. The echoes of the ancestral memory are lost in the migrations of the Homeric heroes and Diomedes argivo who grafted his song into the history of the Gargano and the Tremiti islands, also inspired by the use of some materials used for the realization of jewelry and furnishings (copper, iron, aluminum, clays, stones).

The sea on the stones-Visiting the Tremiti Islands you feel enthralled by a particular atmosphere and you are fascinated by the natural and historical beauties that compose them: you can really say that here nature has shown off, without reservations, all its highest artistic and poetic qualities. The physical contact with them, makes me a privileged person who draws inspiration from a landscape, which never ceases to amaze, stimulates my curiosity, suggests a movement of ideas, which overlap, approach and merge slowly, like soft nembi in the blue. Thus, in my compelling journey as a researcher of "clues" and "footprints", which become "forms", I discover that, things in appearance, insignificant, are not at all, indeed, on the contrary they have their own charm and stimulate my imagination; I realize how many countless sensations and references can give me for example an old wood recovered in the ravines of a remote cove, marked by saltiness after a long journey by sea; the chipped flints, (characteristic artifacts of the campignano -campignien- from the name of a village in France, Campigny, where the products of those protoneolithic and Neolithic industries appeared, which today are indicated by this name) that still resurface in the lands of the North-West side of the island of San Domino, testimony of Neolithic human settlements or a sandstone, among the flowers, pampered by a ray of sunshine, which silently encloses its archive of information and testimonies of the ancient environment of the Tremiti islands, more visible in the marl sediments of the smallest of the group: the Cretaccio, of only 0.04 square kilometers, which rises yellowish from the sea, between San Domino and San Nicola (almost you can say, broken into two large rocks by a deep inlet open to NO). This is what I was looking for in my "walking" and I "found": the raw material with the morphological qualities of the Diomedes archipelago and I would add, "metaphorical" and "linguistic" with its history, its meaning, which can expand its light in the world, become a precious ambassador of the territory and of my creativity, with small works of art. I go, therefore, to "stone hunting", far and wide, now to "Tramontana" now to "Tamariello", after capraia and Cretaccio, and I try to get to know closely, the rocks of the islands that burn under my feet but I am not a geologist or paleontologist, perhaps the native artist who wants to understand and interpret his territory from its foundations, from its deepest "soul". The frontiers of the millennia are wide open on the visible and lived rocks: remote scenarios reappear to my imagination, rich in plants and animals whose fragments are in front of me today.
Magical limestone stones, perfect pictorial supports, and "soft" clayey stones to sculpt, with completely different shapes, flattened and twisted, perforated, where the profiles of fish appear, sometimes already defined, heirs of the ancient world and masters of that submerged living garden with its unimaginable varieties of shapes, colors, flowers, mushrooms, fronds, among which they graze swaying softly by the millions, where nature has taken steps to protect them from the pitfalls of their natural environment, to camouflage them with its dazzling colors ... which I try to paint in its extravagant palpitations and incomparable grace of silent orchestra.

AlbArgiva, il brand name, che ho coniato per le mie creazioni è composto da due parole che stigmatizzano e contemplano i bagliori arcaici di arte e bellezza dell’antica civiltà greca che ha saputo illuminare anche il mondo romano con la sua cultura fine e raffinata, sempre nettamente percepibile. Gli echi dell’ancestrale memoria si perdono nelle migrazioni degli eroi omerici e di Diomede argivo che ha innestato il suo canto nella storia del Gargano e delle isole Tremiti, ispirandomi anche nell’impiego di alcuni materiali usati per la realizzazione di monili e suppellettili (rame, ferro,alluminio,argille, sassi).

Il mare sulle pietre-Visitando le Isole Tremiti ci si sente avvincere da un’atmosfera particolare e si resta affascinati dalle bellezze naturali e storiche che le compongono: si può dire davvero che qui la natura ha sfoggiato, senza riserve, tutte le sue più alte qualità artistiche e poetiche. Il contatto fisico con esse, fa di me una persona privilegiata che trae ispirazione da un paesaggio, che non cessa mai di stupire, sollecita la mia curiosità, suggerisce un movimento di idee, che si sovrappongono, si accostano e si fondono lentamente, come soffici nembi nell’azzurro. Così, nel mio avvincente cammino di ricercatrice di “indizi” e “orme”, che diventano “forme”, scopro che, cose in apparenza, insignificanti, non lo sono affatto, anzi, al contrario hanno un loro fascino e stimolano la mia fantasia; mi rendo conto di quante innumerevoli sensazioni e richiami mi può dare per esempio un vecchio legno recuperato negli anfratti di una remota caletta, segnato dalla salsedine dopo un lungo viaggio per mare; le selci scheggiate,(manufatti caratteristici del campignano –campignien- dal nome di un villaggio della Francia, Campigny, dove apparvero i prodotti di quelle industrie protoneolitiche e neolitiche, che oggi sono indicate con tal nome) che ancora oggi riaffiorano nei terreni del versante Nord-Ovest dell’isola di San Domino, testimonianza di insediamenti umani del neolitico o un sasso di arenaria, tra i fiori, coccolato da un raggio di sole, che muto racchiude il suo archivio di informazioni e testimonianze dell’antico ambiente delle isole Tremiti, maggiormente visibile nei sedimenti di marna della più piccola del gruppo: il Cretaccio, di soli 0,04 Kmq, che sorge giallastra dal mare, tra San Domino e San Nicola ( quasi si può dire, spezzata in due grossi scogli da una profonda insenatura aperta a NO). Ecco ciò che cercavo nel mio “camminare” e ho “trovato”: la materia prima con le qualità morfologiche dell’arcipelago di Diomede e aggiungerei, “ metaforiche” e “linguistiche” con la sua storia, il suo senso, che può espandere la sua luce nel mondo, diventare prezioso ambasciatore del territorio e della mia creatività, con piccole opere d’arte. Vado, dunque, a “caccia di sassi”, in lungo e in largo, ora a “Tramontana” ora a ”Tamariello”, dopo a Capraia e Cretaccio, e cerco di conoscere da vicino, le rocce delle isole che bruciano sotto i miei piedi ma non sono geologo né paleontologo, forse l’artista nativa che vuol capire e interpretare il proprio territorio dalle sue fondamenta, dalla sua “anima” più profonda.Si spalancano le frontiere dei millenni sulle rocce visibili e vissute: scenari remoti riappaiono alla mia immaginazione, ricchi di piante e animali i cui frammenti oggi sono di fronte a me.
Magiche pietruzze di calcare, supporti pittorici perfetti, e “morbidi” sassi argillosi da scolpire, dalle forme del tutto diverse, appiattiti e contorti , forati, ove compaiono, talvolta già definiti i profili dei pesci, eredi dell’antico mondo e padroni di quel giardino vivente sommerso con le sue inimmaginabili varietà di forme,colori, fiori, funghi, fronde, tra cui pascolano ondeggiando mollemente a milioni, dove la natura ha provveduto a proteggerli dalle insidie del loro ambiente naturale, a mimetizzarli con i suoi smaglianti colori….che provo a dipingere nei suoi palpiti stravaganti e di grazia incomparabile di silenziosa orchestra.
