Alexis Rises was inspired by the notion that there is always the opportunity to rise, no matter how far down you may have fallen. Broke, divorced, and recovering from a traumatic brain injury, I turned to my passions for creating and repurposing. At the age of 24, I began pouring soy wax into unique, thrifted mugs to make candles, and I've since taken up digital art, resin pouring, acrylic painting, chalkboard signs, vinyl projects, paper quilling, glass work, macrame, and sewing. As a professional perfectionist, Alexis Rises has taught me to find beauty in the imperfections and to see strength in the brokenness.

Why Alexis Rises? Not only is it a play on my name (Alexis Rose), it's an everyday reminder that I'm getting up and climbing up and doing the next right thing.
