Sizing details

Most washi tape is sized using the metric system which can be difficult to understand for those of us in the US. Below are some common approximations to help.

15mm = .59 inches
10mm = .39 inches
10m = 32.8 feet
7m = 22.96 feet
5m = 16.4 feet
3m = 9.84 feet

Care instructions

During extreme cold/heat, allow your washi to get to an even room temperature before use. Too cold = brittle washi; too hot = gummy washi.

If you find that your washi is not sticking, try blowing on the adhesive with your mouth, sticking it in the microwave for 5-10 seconds (no metallic) or use a hair dryer for a few seconds.

To keep your washi from breaking during use, hold your washi at an even horizontal level and gently unwind....too fast will cause it to rip and tear. And check for cuts along the edges from manufacturing.

When using embossed or foiled washi, unwind or pull very slow and gentle. This will help if you see patches in the foiling or it picks up foil on the bottom....slow and even
