I’m a storyteller at heart—an artist, writer, and educator devoted to honoring cultural heritage through creativity and care. My work is rooted in the sacred spaces where family, faith, and tradition meet. Whether through literature, visual art, or hands-on crafts, I seek to breathe life into the stories that shaped us and the memories that sustain us.
As an artist, I create under the name La Luz, a reflection of the light that guides my journey. Much of my work is inspired by my daughter Calais, whose brave spirit and radiant love continue to illuminate everything I do. Her fight against a brain tumor taught me the true meaning of grace, resilience, and the gift of each day.
I believe in building family through shared traditions, preserving heritage through handmade beauty, and keeping memory alive through the art of making. Crafting is more than a pastime—it’s a prayer, a celebration, a way to hold joy in our hands. And honestly, it’s hard to be anything but grateful when your hands are busy creating something meaningful.
