I make knives, axes and other tools part-time. I make them for pleasure and avoid building a business and taking out the joy from my favorite hobby. They are at the same time tools and works of art. A pretty knife that doesn’t hold an edge isn’t much of a knife. On the other hand, an ugly knife isn’t any better than what can be bought at the store for much less. I try to make every knife both functional and beautiful. Designing and crafting custom knives is one of my favorite things to do. Whether it’s using unique materials that have special meaning to the recipient or creating custom purpose knives for everyday use I love to bring your vision to life!From the all-purpose chefs knife, to the handy paring knife or out in the field maybe camp chopper or lightweight bird and trout knife. I make knives using both stock removal and forging techniques.I start with the raw materials and do all of the work myself. I’m grinding a variety of metals – high-tech stainless steels,pattern welded and carbon steel. Some of the steels I have used are D2, O2, O1, 1084,N690CO,RWL 34,AEB-L and others. I heat treat my blades in a digitally controlled kiln. I use a wide range of handle materials, carrying an extensive stock, both natural and synthetic. There is always something for every taste. My knives all come with sheaths made from highest grade leather shaped and styled to suit.I pride myself in making every knife by hand in my workshop, ensuring the highest qualities of craftsmanship, combined with the uniqueness that comes from a handcrafted product, I value highly the relationship I have with my clients and always strive to produce a knife that is tailored to their needs, providing a product which will serve them well for years to come.
