My name is Katie. I love painting on canvas, but was inspired to branch out into painting on something that would be more useful for people to buy and use in everyday life—like clothes. I started out handpainting band merchandise, then custom sweatshirts for friends, and then I started my Etsy page. Since then, I've sold online and at local artist markets in Minneapolis, MN, where I live.

I like to paint lots of feminist and political ideas as a form of protest, but I also love dabbling in offbeat designs and funny sayings. Bolii is a place where I can move with current trends, both political and pop cultural, because everything is made to order—on purpose.

Unlike traditional clothing businesses, who have to buy designs in massive quantities in hopes they'll sell all their merchandise before they throw it out or burn it, I create one sample piece, and paint orders as they come in.

It may take me a few days longer to paint your order than when you order from a big box clothing store, but at least you know that you're buying from a small artist who is conscious of the environment, dedicated to sustainability, and delivering you one-of-a-kind pieces you won't find anywhere else.
