BackyardBlacksmithin is taking a short break

Note from shop owner Unfortunately I will not be taking any orders until at least the first of the year. I managed to break a rib last week and lets just say swinging a hammer and running power tools is not very enjoyable.... I will do my best to get the orders that have already been placed finished and shipped but I need to give it a break for a little bit. If you have any questions as always feel free to ask.

From Hobby to Business

Hello! My name is Andy and I got into blacksmithing initially as a hobby and to be able to make stuff for personal use. But as my skills improved I had people asking to buy items and it has slowly evolved into a small business. I do this because I really enjoy the art of blacksmithing and am constantly trying to improve my skills and learn how to expand my knowledge of this ancient art. I love how you can take a seemingly worthless piece of scrap and make something that is functional and beautiful out of it with nothing more than a hammer, anvil and the blacksmith's own skill.

And a little humerous side note, seeing as that I live in town I conisdered naming my shop "Bad Neighbor Blacksmithing" seeing as how Im so good at making a ton of noise hammering away on my anvil. But in the end figured Backyard Blacksmithing was more appropriate haha.
