Without machines, only with a range of hand tools!
MY STORY
I make all leather goods in the traditional way, as the masters of the leather craft used to do. With a range of hand tools and skills, I guarantee reliability complemented by expressiveness with various leather processing techniques. With minimal maintenance, products can last indefinitely! And best of all, your satisfaction too.
BECAUSE IT'S BEAUTIFUL
Tradition is a wide concept so it is difficult to embrace it only in the context of what has become established in the life of a community by passing it from generation to generation. Therefore, I limit myself to the importance of continuing and respecting what is clearly disappearing in our country. Since tradition according to some sociologists sometimes seems interchangeable with civilization itself, I prefer to stand beside ethnologists who know that every community instinctively connects with its own the past because they find justification and the purpose of their current existence. But the problem arises when the purpose of existence nowdays is no longer self-evident, even less excusable. So why is the leather craft tradition so important? Why do I make leather goods with such a passion?
As the ancient Greeks already knew, each of us dwells and strives to unite the dualities that define us. On the one hand, we have the body, which we understand completely rationally and self-evidently, but on the other we have feelings, which are often neglected. Because they are not rational, they do not belong to the body, but they still perceive a wide range of events. They are the cause of our mood, satisfaction and anger. They are like impulses waiting to be satisfied. They need spiritual food to relax and communicate a sense of contentment to us. The artisans, the old masters of the leather craft, also knew this and enjoyed the harmony of their manual skills and the creation of unique products. They felt the beauty of the material and the expressiveness that every creator feels. They were out of work at the moment of widespread mass production. They closed the workshops and could not pass on their knowledge to anyone. The devil hides in the fact that no one can live on spiritual food alone. And the devil is also in the fact that spiritual food is not transferable from generation to generation. But the products remain, especially leather ones indefinitely. When I look at them I feel an aesthetic value. But when I create the experience is even more expressive. The purpose of the present existence connected with the past is therefore not justifiable in the economic sense, however it is in the aesthetic sense. And that's why the perseverance is worth it. Because it's beautiful!
