My love for crafting began in childhood, when friends and family would ask me to make keepsakes just for them. Their encouragement sparked a side hustle, and in 2019, I brought my creativity to Etsy. With over half my life spent in hospitality—sales, food & beverage, and event planning—I’ve always found joy in making others happy, whether through a beautifully planned wedding or a handcrafted gift that speaks from the soul.
Running this shop solo while working full-time hasn’t always been easy, but creating is my sanctuary. It’s where I recharge and reconnect with myself. After being diagnosed with rheumatoid arthritis, I paused to rest and reflect. Though I’m still navigating this new reality, I realized something was missing. Crafting isn’t just a hobby—it’s part of who I am. I’ve adapted my process to be gentler on my hands, and in doing so, rediscovered the joy that fuels Burnt Mill Designs Co.
This disease may have taken a lot, but it won’t take my passion. Every piece I make is a quiet act of perseverance and love.
