Cut it Out - Making it Personal
We've been friends for longer than we'll admit publicly - for fear of aging ourselves - lol!
We've always loved the art of 'making'. Between us, we've had so many hobbies over the years .... crocheting, needlepoint, clay, resins, rock painting, pottery, sewing, candy making, and the list goes on.
We've seen many changes in the technology used in home crafting over the years. This has allowed us to expand both our creative offerings, as well as our geographical reach. From making things for friends and family, to renting tables at weekend craft sales, and then to online shopping.
We believe there are a few key differences that make us successful - the most important thing being that WE ENJOY WHAT WE DO. We don't, and never will, use a print shop, or a third party to make and ship our items. To us, there is no point. Since we actually enjoy what we do, why would we get someone else to do it ? Everything you order from us is made by us, in one of our homes.
Another big reason is that while we have been the very best of friends forever, and we have a lot in common, we are actually very different. We have different styles and strengths, which enables us to come up with more ideas, appealing to more people.
The third biggest difference, is that we're pretty picky when it comes to our suppliers. Because we are a small home based business, we get to choose each supplier one at a time. The quality of the supplies is always the most important, but other factors include the suppliers eco footprint, their reliability and sustainability, with preferences to other small businesses (especially women led). We would be lying if we said the price didn't ever play a role in the decision - but it is never the most important reason. We enjoy what we do, and we are proud of what we make. That wouldn't be possible if we didn't use quality supplies.
If you've read this far, then Thank You 💕 for spending the time to get to know us a little bit, and understand what we feel is important for our shop.
Now off we go to tie knots in red ribbons. The summer heat has people spending more time outside and less time online shopping - so we get a jump start on our upcoming busy season by tying ornament ribbons in advance. We love what we do - right down to the knot in the ornament ribbon.
