Hello and welcome to Digiberry!
I’ve been drawing digitally since 2018, after years of working traditionally. The switch to digital was a bit of a challenge at first, but I ended up falling in love with the whole process — the colours, the layers, the freedom to experiment, and the feeling of watching a piece come to life on screen.
After a few years of drawing digitally, food became my favourite subject. There’s something irresistible about the textures and colours, but it’s also the emotions tied to it. Food carries memories: family traditions, little rituals, favourite treats, and the way a single smell can take you straight back to a moment you didn’t realise you missed. Capturing that sense of comfort and familiarity in illustration is one of the things that makes my work feel special to me.
Clipart, too, has this wonderful practicality that I adore. It isn’t just about decorating a journal (though I do love that!). Clipart can be used for so many creative projects — making a personalised gift for a friend who lives for pizza, designing recipe cards, crafting labels, building teaching resources, or adding a fun touch to planners and scrapbooks. I find it fascinating how one small illustration can end up in so many different places and take on a life of its own.
Digiberry is where I get to bring all of that together: my love of digital art, my obsession with food illustration, and the joy that comes from creating something useful, playful, and full of character. I hope my work adds a spark of creativity to whatever you’re working on — and maybe even brings back a memory or two of your own.
Thanks so much for stopping by. It means the world.
