¿Qué es Direction Designs y por qué se creó? Bueno, siempre he sentido que cuando las personas acuden a mí para sus necesidades de diseño, ya sea para una marca existente o nueva, un mejor sitio web y / o necesidades de diseño impreso (invitaciones, folletos, materiales de marketing), quieren ir en una nueva dirección que llevará su negocio / proyecto a un nuevo nivel. Siempre hay una visión final, pero llegar allí siempre es la parte difícil. Ahí es donde entro yo. Juntos podemos desarrollar, crear y perfeccionar la visión que tienes y puedes ir en la dirección que planeaste. No hay nada peor que ir en la dirección de diseño equivocada y descubrir que no era lo que querías, ¡así que lo hacemos bien la primera vez!
Entonces, un poco sobre mí. Soy Jackie, soy nativa de Minnesota y me gradué de la Universidad de Minnesota Duluth con un título en diseño gráfico y una especialización en arte. Aunque esas fueron mis principales áreas de estudio, me diversificé dentro del campo del arte y pude aprender mucho más. Además de Diseño Gráfico, estudié fotografía, tipografía, cine, música, historia del arte e incluso danza. Siento que todas estas áreas me han convertido en un diseñador bien redondeado.
el 1 de enero de 2008 hice el viaje a San Diego. Trabajé como artista gráfico durante un tiempo y luego pasé a un trabajo en la industria de la construcción naval (completamente diferente de lo que sabía y / o pensaba que quería). Este trabajo, sin embargo, me dio algunas habilidades realmente importantes que uso todos los días. Pude interactuar con personas interesantes y perfeccionarme en mi propia gente y habilidades de servicio al cliente. Dejé la compañía en julio de 2013 para comenzar una nueva dirección como ama de casa, y no he mirado hacia atrás. Además de ser una madre a tiempo completo y mi negocio de diseño, mi esposo y yo somos copropietarios de Helm's Brewing Co. (una cervecería de San Diego en Kearny Mesa y Ocean Beach) y me siento en mi tiempo libre.
Me encanta crear elementos de diseño tanto dentro como fuera de la computadora y disfruto elaborando, cosiendo y descubriendo nuevas formas de diseñar. What is Direction Designs and why was it created? Well, I have always feel like when people come to me for their design needs, whether it be for an existing or new brand, a better website and/or print design needs (invitations, brochures, marketing materials), they want to go in a new direction that will bring their business/project to a new level. There is always an end vision, but getting there is always the hard part. That’s where I come in. Together we get to develop, create, and perfect the vision you have and you get to go off in the direction you planned. There is nothing worse than going off in the wrong design direction and finding out it wasn’t what you wanted, so we get it right the first time!
So, a little about me. I’m Jackie, I’m a Minnesota native and I graduated from The University of Minnesota Duluth with a degree in graphic design and a minor in art. Although those were my major areas of study, I branched out within the art field and was able to learn so much more. In addition to Graphic Design, I studied photography, typography, film, music, art history and even dance. I feel like all of these areas have made me a well rounded designer.
on January 1, 2008 I made the trek to San Diego. I worked as a graphic artist for a while and then moved on to a job in the shipbuilding industry (completely different from what I knew and/or thought I wanted). This job, however, gave me some really important skills which I use every day. I was able to interface with interesting people and hone in on my own people and customer service skills. I left the company in July of 2013 to start off on a new direction as a stay-at-home mom, and haven’t looked back. In addition to being a full time mom and my design business, my husband and I are part owners of the Helm’s Brewing Co. (a San Diego brewery in Kearny Mesa and Ocean Beach) and I dog sit in my spare time.
I love to create design elements both on and off the computer and I enjoy crafting, sewing and discovering new ways to design. Overall, I am an organized and detail oriented individual with a heart for all things design. I am always for hire, and would love to help you with whatever direction you want to go!
