Art For & Of Your Best Furry Friends (allow them to leap from your phone into your life)!
Dog Ear Design (that’s me!) creates custom artwork with digital photos & photo files. Each piece of artwork begins as a file in my computer, I then utilize my skills in Corel Paint, Adobe Photoshop CC, custom AI Filters and my Wacom Tablet & brushes. Once the body of the design satisfies me I utilize various objects as my canvas. Think of it as Digital Art Brought to Life!
Each unique item arrives at your door ready to enjoy straight out of the shipping box. And the really great part, aside from you loving each and every item, is that Dog Ear Design donates 10% to 20% of each item sold to support animals rescues through donations to Auctions which raise funds for Rescue, benefiting one or many animals.
OUR HISTORY:
And now a little background about Dog Ear Design and our home. I used to search for coats for my English Bulldog, Cleopatra. To no avail. Being a rather broad chested girl, nothing fit her properly, so, we eventually threw in the towel and she lived a comfortable but fashionless dog life. Cleo did quickly learn that she may have her picture taken at any time, by anyone and for any reason.
The day we decided to become Foster Parents with Bulldog Rescue and brought Friar Tuck into care, life at our house changed - immediately, if not sooner. Tuck was born with Spina Bifida (amongst a plethora of other medical issues – indicating poor breeding practices) and needed to wear a diaper for both bladder and bowel incontinence. At eleven weeks of age he also needed to be held and to bond with human beings. My mission became keeping him clean, healthy and comfortable (the smell was another issue and was eventually aided by a raw diet).
A huge learning curve took place and Friar Tuck became the target of my sewing abilities, my problem solving skills and my photographic journaling talents. Since those early days we have discovered the unique body shape of deeply broad chested dogs requires some... finesse. But what handsome creatures they are!
Friar Tuck has such an active social life through rescue and developed such a public following that we decided to offer custom artwork of Tuck and his doggie friends to help raise much needed funds for Rescue. Creating sewn items for Friar Tuck and then eventually other Foster Parents within our Rescue led me to design Hoodies, Car Coats, Boy Bands and B(r)itches. I have since discontinued our clothing line and only create diaper covers and clothes for Friar Tuck and the rest of our home crew now. My sewing methods and the fine details of his outfits simply consume too much time to ever recoup the costs.
Your purchase of my Dog Ear Design art embellished items means you are contributing to the rescue and rehabilitation of dogs all around the United States. And we thank you.
