It All Started with a Birthday Gift for My Wife
Our Story
I never intended to become an author, I just wanted the perfect birthday gift for my wife. When I couldn’t find a year-of-birth book that felt special enough, I decided to write one. That decision changed everything.
Since that first edition published in 2022, 'What A Year To Be Born' has grown into a family business and a series of books celebrating the year you were born. Every page is researched, written and designed by me and my co-author Joe here in the UK, with the aim of creating something meaningful - a gift that brings back memories and sparks conversation.
🏭 How It’s Made
Every book starts on Joe’s and my desk, where we research, write and design each edition ourselves. I use my background in design to make every page engaging and easy to read, combining facts, photos and colour-coded chapters for a polished, professional look. Each finished book is printed and bound by a specialist UK printer using high-quality materials and sustainable methods.
