Hi, I’m Zen, the maker behind EmotionPlanet, a small handmade studio based in Los Angeles, California.
I have been working with wool felt for over 10 years, and needle felting has become one of the most meaningful ways for me to express emotion, personality, and imagination. My work focuses on handmade emotional support monster sculptures — soft, quirky little creatures inspired by the feelings we experience in everyday life.
Some monsters may look anxious, shy, silly, tired, brave, or comforting. To me, each one represents a tiny emotional companion — a reminder that every feeling is real, valid, and worth being seen.
Every sculpture is handmade slowly and carefully using wool felt and detailed needle-felting techniques. Because each piece is made by hand, no two monsters are exactly the same. Small handmade differences make each creature feel more personal and alive.
My goal with EmotionPlanet is to create comforting, character-filled little sculptures that can sit on your desk, shelf, bedside table, or gift box as a small reminder of warmth, humor, and emotional connection.
