Every player has a story, and I want to help you tell yours. I noticed many mats lacked a personal touch, so I’ve made customization a core part of the Fable experience. From adding your username to uploading a custom guild logo, our personalized options ensure that your mat isn't just a surface—it’s a representation of who you are at the table.
As a gamer I love everything gaming related, from Tabletop games, to TCG like Magic, and of course Video Games. I have started to expand the shop to not only have MTG Playmats, but also Desk Mats, Posters and Apparel!
Beyond the Basic Prompt
While some use AI to generate quick, one-click images, my process is far more involved. Over the past few months, I have developed a library of custom "prompt sets" that define the specific Fable Gaming art style. I also use professional tools like Photoshop, Kittl, and Canva to manually edit every image and remove errors.
MY CREATIVE PROCESS
1. Vision & Concept I start with a narrative idea:
"What does a peak-intensity Volcanic Mountain look like?" I ask myself how I can make a design unique—using vibrant violet neon vapors for a Swamp or ethereal floating islands for an Island—to ensure the final product feels fresh and inspired.
2. Research & Gameplay Focus:
I research popular themes within the community and even try to mix trends between communities such as the Furry community and more! Our mats are truly unique.
3. Intentional Layouts:
I have personally designed every layout with the player in mind. I offer "Organized Zones" for both left and right-handed players, as well as "Art Only" versions for those who prefer a clean, multi-game desk mat.
4. Image Generation:
I use various AI art generators such as ChatGPT and Gemini with my own proprietary prompts to create the "raw" vision. This specialized approach ensures that the art you find here is distinct to Fable Gaming and cannot be found in generic AI galleries.
5. Manual Editing & Polishing:
Once I have a base image, I move to Photoshop. I add or remove elements and upscale the file to 4K resolution to ensure a crisp, high-definition print. (This is also where I add your customization to the mat if you opted for it)
Final Message
I believe that the combination of my prompt engineering and manual editing skills sets Fable Gaming apart from the flood of basic AI images online.
