Tutti i miei progetti sono stati creati pensando alla mia bambina. Ama tutto ciò che è carino, rosa, con le balze e femminile! Cerco di abbracciare questi elementi di design femminili finché posso. Trovo ispirazione per i miei progetti anche in tutto ciò che mi circonda... il parco giochi, i libri di fiabe, i film Disney, gli abiti vintage (soprattutto gli abiti degli anni '40 e '50) e le vecchie cartoline, solo per citarne alcuni.

SE NON HAI MAI CONOSCIUTO I MODELLI PDF, LEGGI QUI:
I modelli PDF sono simili sotto molti aspetti ai modelli cartacei acquistati nei negozi, ma presentano anche alcune differenze importanti!
- Come tutti i cartamodelli, ogni disegno è composto da uno o più componenti che vengono poi cuciti insieme per assemblare il capo. E come i cartamodelli acquistati in negozio, i componenti curvi (ad esempio corpetti, maniche) vengono generalmente forniti come pezzo del cartamodello vero e proprio. Ma con i cartamodelli PDF, dovrai stampare il/i pezzo/i da solo/i con la tua normale stampante domestica. Le pagine vengono poi unite con del nastro adesivo seguendo le istruzioni fornite nel tutorial.
- Per la maggior parte dei modelli PDF (inclusi i Foofoo Threads), i componenti rettangolari (ad esempio volant, fasce, gonne) vengono solitamente forniti sotto forma di "schemi di taglio" anziché di pezzi di cartamodello veri e propri. Ogni schema di taglio indica le dimensioni necessarie per tagliare quel componente in ogni taglia. Quindi misurerai e taglierai il tessuto direttamente, senza utilizzare un pezzo di cartamodello stampato. Questo è un po' diverso dalla maggior parte dei modelli acquistati in negozio, in cui viene fornito un pezzo di cartamodello per ogni componente. Il motivo per cui i designer di modelli PDF spesso lo fanno è per risparmiare agli acquirenti il tempo e i costi associati alla stampa, all'assemblaggio, all'assemblaggio e al taglio di tutti quei pezzi di cartamodello! È facilissimo misurare e tagliare il tessuto direttamente da uno schema di taglio, soprattutto dopo averlo fatto un paio di volte.
- Non è necessario possedere un taglierino rotante e un tappetino per tagliare i componenti, ma molti acquirenti li trovano piuttosto comodi. Personalmente NON uso un taglierino rotante e un tappetino, anche se li possiedo.
-Le istruzioni incluse nella maggior parte dei modelli PDF sono spesso molto più dettagliate di quelle dei modelli acquistati in negozio... molti principianti hanno imparato a cucire dai modelli PDF!
- La maggior parte dei modelli Foofoo Threads include 2 file: i pezzi del modello e il tutorial. Alcuni modelli non hanno alcun pezzo del modello e saranno composti da un solo file (il tutorial). I componenti per questi modelli saranno tagliati interamente seguendo le tabelle di taglio fornite nel tutorial.
- Il numero di pezzi del cartamodello varia da modello a modello. Alcuni cartamodelli non hanno pezzi da stampare, mentre altri ne hanno fino a 40 pagine.
- Requisiti per utilizzare i modelli PDF: avrai bisogno di un dispositivo (ad esempio computer, tablet, ecc.) con Adobe Reader (disponibile gratuitamente) per aprire e/o stampare il tutorial e tutti i pezzi del modello inclusi. Avrai bisogno di una stampante (preferibilmente a colori, ma può essere stampata in scala di grigi se necessario) per poter stampare tutti i pezzi del modello inclusi. I pezzi del modello vengono solitamente assemblati unendo le pagine con del nastro adesivo, quindi ritagliandole come indicato nel tutorial. Alcuni acquirenti stampano anche il tutorial, ma molti utenti di modelli PDF oggigiorno li leggono semplicemente direttamente dal loro laptop, tablet o persino cellulare.

Welcome to my pattern shop! FooFoo Threads specializes in adorable little girl's PDF sewing patterns and ebooks. I love to see little girls dressed as what they are...little girls!
All of my designs were created with my own little girl in mind. She loves all things pretty, pink, ruffled and girly! I am trying to embrace these feminine design features while I still can. I also find inspiration for my designs all around me...the playground, storybooks, Disney movies, vintage clothing (especially dresses from the 40's and 50's) and old postcards, to name a few.

You are welcome to sell the finished garment that you create with Foofoo Threads patterns, as long as you sew it yourself and out of your home. In other words, no mass production please!
IF YOU ARE NEW TO PDF PATTERNS, PLEASE READ:
PDF patterns are similar in many ways to store bought paper patterns, but also have some important differences!
-Like all patterns, each design is made up of one or more components that are then sewn together to assemble the garment. And like store bought patterns, curved components (eg bodices, sleeves) are generally supplied as an actual pattern piece. But with PDF patterns, you'll need to print the piece(s) out yourself using your standard home printer. The pages are then taped together using the directions given in the tutorial.
-For most PDF patterns (including Foofoo Threads), rectangular components (eg ruffles, sashes, skirts) are usually provided in the form of "cutting charts" as opposed to actual pattern pieces. Each cutting chart gives the dimensions you'll need to cut for that component in each size. You'll then measure and cut your fabric directly without using a printed pattern piece. This is a bit different than most store bought patterns where a pattern piece is provided for every component. The reason that PDF pattern designers often do this is to save buyers the time and expense involved with printing, assembling, taping together and cutting out all those pattern pieces! It is so easy to measure and cut your fabric directly from a cutting chart, especially once you've done it a few times.
-It is not necessary to own a rotary cutter and mat to cut the components, but many buyers find them quite convenient. I personally do NOT use a rotary cutter and mat, although I do own them.
-The instructions that are included with most PDF patterns are often a lot more detailed than they are for store bought pattern....many beginners have learned to sew from PDF patterns!
-Most Foofoo Threads patterns include 2 files: the pattern pieces and the tutorial. Some designs have no pattern pieces at all and will consist of one file only (the tutorial). The components for these designs will be cut entirely from the cutting charts given in the tutorial.
-The number of pattern pieces will vary from design to design. Some patterns have no pattern pieces to print and others have as many as 40 pages of pattern pieces.
-Requirements to use PDF patterns: you will need a device (eg computer, tablet, etc) with Adobe Reader (available for free) in order to open and/or print the tutorial and any included pattern pieces. You will need a printer (preferably color but can be printed in gray scale if necessary) so you can print out any pattern pieces that are included. Pattern pieces are usually assembled by taping together the pages, then cutting them out as instructed by the tutorial. Some buyers print out the tutorial as well, but a lot more PDF pattern users these days are simply reading them directly off their laptop, tablet or even cell phones.

Foofoothreads patterns are available by instant download. You will receive a link to download the pattern directly after your purchase. You can also download via your Etsy receipt or your Etsy purchases page. To go to your purchases page, click on "your account" at the upper right hand of the screen ...a drop down menu should appear. Just scroll down and click on "purchases and reviews." From there, scroll down your list of purchases to find the pattern you purchased, then click the download button for each file.
