Always something new
After being a crafter my whole life, I participated in my first craft fair in 2011. After that fair, I opened my Etsy shop. When choosing a name, I had to pick something that had meaning to me and had an available domain (we're a family of geeks and knew I'd eventually want a website!). We chose the name Mariposa for a few reasons: 1) it's the spanish word for butterfly and my daughters are both nature lovers and 2) we used to live on Mariposa Road! So, my Etsy shop (MariposaCraft) was born.
The shop started with my papercrafted items and a friend's crochet items. It grew as I rediscovered my love of sewing. I've expanded my work with resin and am dabbling a bit with that. My husband and I are avid 3d printers - we're printing something every day.
Today, I'm designing more products all the time. My husband is even getting in the mix with a few creative products with his 3d printers, so keep checking in with us.
