Our story!
Glam Thread AU began with a moment of inspiration during an unforgettable journey through the vibrant heart of India—a land where tradition, color, and craftsmanship intertwine beautifully. What started as a cultural exploration quickly evolved into a greater purpose: to bring the timeless charm of handcrafted Indian textiles into homes across Australia and around the world.
As we wandered through the villages of North India, we were welcomed into the homes and studios of artisans whose skills had been passed down through generations. Their dedication to detail, their passion for quality, and the rich stories woven into each piece deeply moved us. It was in those quiet moments, surrounded by block prints, hand stitches, and traditional techniques, that the vision for Glam Thread AU was born.
What began with a small offering of hand-block-printed cotton cushion covers has grown into an expansive collection of thoughtfully curated home décor and accessories. Today, our range includes kantha quilts, ottomans, banjara bags, silk and cotton scarves, leather goods, and hand-woven rugs—each one infused with the personality and craftsmanship of the artisans behind them.
At Glam Thread AU, we are proud to be part of a global movement that celebrates authenticity, sustainability, and slow-made luxury. With the support of our growing community of customers, we’ve been able to shine a spotlight on traditional Indian crafts and help support artisan livelihoods across the subcontinent.
We invite you to explore our collection and discover the heart, heritage, and handmade beauty that define every piece.
Regards,
Sasha.
