Our story.
I live in Bucks County, PA with my husband Tim, daughter Abby, son Ben, and dogs Angie and Mario.
One day my husband and I were visiting my mom, (a gifted artist with a successful stained glass business) and went into her studio where we started playing with her scrap glass. A few minutes became a few hours. Soon after, an idea sparked between us and Sun Chimes was born!
My mom is quite passionate about her work and that passion has spilled over to Tim and I. Our playful session at her studio has almost consumed our lives! We search through old barn sales, antique shops and yard sales looking for unique pieces for our chimes. We love the stories behind them and know that those stories add character to our pieces!
The inspiration for many of our designs come from the fact that Tim is a musician and I am a gardener. The individual pieces in our sun chimes are lyrical, and many of the curved ones flow in a rhythmic motion on their own, with no physical movement at all. As I’m sure you’ve noticed, most of our sun chimes are colorful … equate that to a meadow of bright flowers which, to us, represents the happiness we have as a family. We are blessed to have terrific children and a wonderful supportive family. Happiness, peace, security, compassion, love…all of it goes into the production of Good Day Sun Chimes!
