Jon Grady has been a home remodeling contractor for over 25 years, specializing in older homes in the Twin Cities area. Last year, he bought a lathe to make wood spindles for a job, and as he honed his skills on this new tool, he discovered how much he enjoys designing and making wood bowls and boxes.
I was so impressed with the beautiful things Jon was making that I saw a business opportunity and created this shop. It's so gratifying for both of us - the maker (Jon) and the admirer/seller (me) - to find that people across the country appreciate Jon's work, too.
Jon makes everything himself in the basement shop of our Victorian home in St. Paul, Minnesota, and uses only wood from trees that have had to be removed because of storms or disease.
Thank you for shopping here. Jon is often bringing new pieces upstairs and I try to get them up on the site as soon as I can, especially the ones I like best, so please come back and visit again soon.

5 out of 5 starsThis gorgeous bowl is a work of art. It is beautifully crafted, and I love the way it was turned to include the light and dark wood of the tree trunk. The packaging was superb and thoughtful, and included a thank you note from the artists. I will fill the bowl with wooden fruit and it will be in a place of honor on my dining room table for all to admire. Thank you.

5 out of 5 starsA beautiful and beautifully made box, the black walnut is very special and to know it was hand made is a lovely thing. Great customer service and speedy delivery to the UK. Only one photo allowed for reviews here so it had to be the base. Seems odd I know, but I love a makers mark so delighted to see the craftsmans name, and this was personalised as it is for something very important - the name engraved so thoughtfully is just perfect. Thank you.
