Out Of The Ordinary Crochet Designs
HML STUDIO begon zijn reis in 2009 met het succes van Heïdi's senior collectie, 'Elements' aan de School Of The Art Institute. De collectie was in feite een spel van verschillende garentexturen en haaktechnieken toegepast op een collectie van vijf kledingstukken gedragen door zowel mannen als vrouwen. Tijdens de ontwikkeling van haar Elements Collection was Heïdi zowel nieuwsgierig als toegewijd om haar kennis uit te breiden met de kunst van het haken en te zien hoe ver ze de vaardigheid kon nemen van het ouderwetse stereotype. Maar houd rekening met de draagbaarheid van elk gehaakt stuk dat ze maakt.
Omdat ze oorspronkelijk uit Montreal, Canada komt, begon haar interesse in design met de invloed van de wereld van de opera en de kostuums van Le Cirque Du Soleil. Ze was gefascineerd door hun kleurgebruik, texturen, het bewustzijn van details in een stuk en vooral de grandeur van deze kostuums. Ook haar liefde voor minimalisme, architectuur en mode is van tijd tot tijd terug te zien in haar haakontwerpen. Aan het einde van de dag komen al deze elementen samen om uit de gewone stukken te creëren en de kunst van het haken opnieuw uit te vinden met een moderne bijgewerkte touch.
En dus nodig ik je uit om een rondleiding te volgen en de evolutie van het haken zoals we het kennen te zien!
HML STUDIO began its journey back in 2009 with the success of Heïdi's senior collection, 'Elements' at the School Of The Art Institute. The collection was basically a play of various yarn textures and crochet techniques applied to a five garment pieces collection worn by both Men and Women. During the development of her Elements Collection, Heïdi was both curious and dedicated to expand her knowledge with the art of crochet and see how far she could take the skill from its old school stereotype. But keep in mind the wearability of each crochet pieces she creates.
Being originally from Montreal, Canada, her interest in design began with the influence of the world of the opera and Le Cirque Du Soleil costumes. She was fascinated by their use of color, textures, the awareness of details in a piece and above all the grandeur of these costumes. Also her love of minimalism, architecture and fashion can be seen from time to time in her crochet designs. At the end of the day, all these elements come together to create out of the ordinary pieces and reinventing the art of Crochet with modern updated touch.
