Grand RE-Opening!
I've been growing cannabis for 7 years. I'm a mechanical engineer by trade — UIUC class of 2007 — with 20 years in manufacturing. I also have aphantasia, which means I can't visualize mentally. I design entirely in felt mechanical relationships and geometry. No mental images. Just instinct and math.
I started selling HempHooks two years ago under a different name. Made some sales, got great feedback, then took a break. I wasn't sure if it was worth continuing.
Then AI happened.
With the tools available now, I'm able to design, iterate, document, and launch faster and more confidently than I ever could alone. So I came back — rebuilt the device from scratch, filed a provisional patent, formed HempHooks LLC, and relaunched properly.
V2 is the result. Every dimension is intentional. Every curve earned its place. Engineered by someone who couldn't picture it in his head but could feel exactly how it needed to work.
