I have always loved an artist's work space.

When I was little, my parents would sometimes bring me to their empty workplaces. At my Mother's office, there were the cubicles of her fellow Graphic Designers. Magazine pages thumb-tacked to the walls, color wheels, swatches, patterns, and never scissors - only xacto knives - I was awash in inspiration.

My Father ran a press and I still get a little giddy around the smell of real ink and paper. There was always something to draw on at the shop. Stacks and stacks of thick paper, foil paper, shiny paper... you name it.

It's no surprise then, that I grew up to marry an Art Director. Our daughter loves to create using scraps of this and that and going on journeys to "Find interesting things" is a favorite pastime. What comes of our excursions is part of what we do together and share with you here...
