We fell in love with cosplay as kids, when Halloween was our first chance to become someone magical. We were lucky — we came from families who had a passion for crafting, who could build entire worlds out of spare parts and imagination. Their creativity sparked our own, and over time, we started leveling up our costumes with new materials and techniques.
Then the pandemic hit. Stuck at home, we finally had the time to chase a dream we’d talked about for years. We dove into our skills — programming, fabrication, design — and through countless trials, errors, late nights, supply shortages, and more caffeine than we’d like to admit… we built our first working holo-projector.
Like every cosplayer, we craved that WOW moment. It started with a cosplay of a certain strange doctor in a red cape. The look was great, the fit was solid — but it was missing the magic. We took our prototype, brainstormed a wild idea, and brought it to life in time for DragonCon 2021.
The response? Overwhelming. People lit up. They wanted to know where they could get one. So we did what any neuro-spicy crafters would do — we opened an Etsy shop.
Now, after dozens of glowing reviews and far more interest than we ever expected, our tiny two-person operation is outgrowing itself. We need your help to expand: to upgrade our tools, produce more units, and develop brand-new animation bundles to bring even more characters to life.
