Iron Sights Media LLC was created in honor of my great-grandfather (Pepa), Carl Hixon Hill, who served in the Navy as a war photographer during World War II. The raw photos he was able to capture and develop in hostile environments serve as a reminder of what photography truly is - recognizing real moments and preserving them. Today his work inspired the core philosophy of Iron Sights Media: Captured, never prompted.
Every image presented here was taken in the real world, through a lens, in real time. While AI might assist in editing, no AI-generated or prompted imagery is used in the creation of my actual work. Photography, to me, is about recognizing moments that already exist and preserving them as they are. In the same spirit, Iron Sights Media intentionally operates outside the noise of social media algorithms. My work lives here on Etsy, and on www.ironsightsmediallc.com where the focus remains on the photographs themselves rather than trends, feeds, or fleeting attention.
