Love & Crochet
I started crocheting when I found out my brother and sister-in-law were having a baby 14 years ago. I love being crafty and creative so I needed to find something to make for this new baby. I decided to start crocheting stuffed animals because blankets seemed too cliche. (However being a new mom, I've found that those handmade blankets are so loved and appreciated!). After making some stuffed animals, I made my first blanket when my niece was baptized.
I've now made hats, blankets, scarves, booties and animals for babies, children and adults. I love new challenges and trying new patterns. Hopefully I'll start writing and creating patterns as well. But for now I love finding new projects (I have a HUGE list of things I want to try! Pinterest is so dangerous for me!).
When I had a new little one at home I continued to make all kinds of things for him. He had a few blankets, lots of animals, a pillow, hats and booties. The more I made the more I realized I couldn't keep everything. I decided I wanted to make things for other people to enjoy as well. These items have made memories for us and are definitely keepsakes for my son and myself. All items for my nieces, my son, other family and friends are all made with love. I can't wait to share that love with others!
