About me....that is always a daunting section to write when you are a visual artist. You spend your life behind your art and rarely step from behind your canvas or camera. But here it is. Here is my little story!
My name is Kristen and I enjoy long walks on the beach(just kidding, I hate sand!). I am the wife of a loving and patient man. I am the mother to two beautiful girls and a little boy that constantly keep me on my toes. I grew up surrounded by art. My mom was an art teacher and talented painter and my dad, while being a science teacher, spent his free time woodworking and performing in various local plays and musicals. Art was a part of who I was to the core.
So I went to a local college and studied Visual Arts and later became a high school art teacher. Teaching brings me such joy and of course a little frustration. There are many challenges but there are always moments that make those challenges worthwhile.
To know me is to know that I have to be doing something. My hands have to be busy and I'm rarely content to just "relax." It is simply not in my nature. A couple years ago I began making braided diffuser bracelets for my oily team, family, and friends. Little did I know that those bracelets would kick start an online business! Since then I have added new bracelet styles and leather earrings that allow you to diffuse your favorite essential oils. This somehow evolved into ornaments and door toppers!
I am truly thankful for Etsy and for my customers. Having this little jewelry shop has allowed me and my family to pay off numerous debts. We no longer stress about how we will pay for daycare and grocery bills. Thank you to you all!
