Hace doce años, empecé a hacer edredones. No eran nada lujosos, solo colchas para mis sobrinas bisnietas gemelas y mi sobrino nieto. Luego me pidieron que terminara una colcha que mi abuela había comenzado y que nunca terminó antes de su fallecimiento. Supongo que se podría decir que fue entonces cuando comenzó el frenesí de costura. Durante unos años hice edredones para amigos y familiares y pedidos personalizados.
Las cosas se ralentizaron hace unos 3 años, cuando la salud de mi padre empeoró y falleció en 2016. Durante dos años viajé, rebotando de Florida a Wisconsin y de regreso. Además de muchas emociones de montaña rusa para trabajar. Desafortunadamente, mi inspiración y creatividad se vieron obstaculizadas.
Mi creatividad se despertó una vez más cuando mi madre fue admitida en un asilo de ancianos. Ella ya había estado usando un andador con una de esas bolsas de corbata de andador con los bolsillos. Para mí funcionó, pero gritaba "viejo" y aunque mi madre no es joven, tampoco es vieja. Sentí que necesitaba un bolso más elegante para unirse a su nuevo rodador púrpura. Entonces, redimensioné una bolsa de pañales previamente diseñada en una bolsa Walker. Desde que se rediseñó la primera bolsa, he tenido que hacer algunas ligeras modificaciones para mejorarla. Como ella inspiró el diseño de la bolsa, le puse su nombre.
Luego quería tener un bolso para cuando no tuviera que llevar su andador. Así que, una vez más, estaba profundizando en áreas sobre lo desconocido. El frenesí de bolsas comenzó entonces. Estaba probando patrones, diseñados por otros, para aprender técnicas y aprender más sobre los diferentes medios que todos usan.
Mi madre es mi probadora oficial de bolsas. Ella no los hace, pero los usa, y discutimos la funcionalidad del bolso. Me encantan todos los comentarios, porque no solo me inspiran a hacer un producto de calidad, sino que me inspiran a hacer cambios para hacer bolsos, muñequeras y clutches para que sean un producto más funcional y utilizable.
Krisy Kreations se ha expandido al negocio del diseño y ahora encuentras patrones escritos y vendidos por mí como KM Designs por Krisy Kreations. En este momento, actualmente tengo un diseño de billetera publicado y tengo 4 más en proceso y lo lanzaré este año. Mi precio se basa en el costo de los materiales del proyecto que incluyen telas, interfaz, corcho, hardware, etc. y la complejidad del patrón que afecta el tiempo que lleva hacer un artículo.

Los pedidos personalizados de telas y textiles que tengo en stock pueden tardar aproximadamente 1-3 semanas en enviarse. Los pedidos personalizados con Cork pueden tardar más.
Las solicitudes de pedidos personalizados de bolsos primero incurrirán en una tarifa de diseño de $ 20. Una vez que se realiza un pedido, se aplicará la tarifa de diseño y se deducirá del costo final. Twelve years ago, I starting making quilts. They weren't anything fancy, just quilts for my twin great-nieces and my great-nephew. I was then asked to finish a quilt that my grandmother had started and that she never finished before her passing. I guess you could say, that's when the sewing frenzy started. For a few years I made quilts for friends and family and custom orders.
Things slowed down about 3 years ago, when my father's health took a turn for the worse and he passed away in 2016. For two years I traveled, bouncing from Florida to Wisconsin and back. Plus a lot of roller coaster emotions to work through. Unfortunately, my inspiration and creativity was hindered
My creativity was sparked once again when my mother was admitted to a nursing home. She had already been using a walker with one of those walker tie bags with the pockets. To me it worked, but it screamed "old" and although my mother isn't young, she's not old either. I felt she needed a more stylish bag to be attached to her new purple rollator. So, I resized a previously designed diaper bag into a Walker bag. Since the first bag was redesigned, I have had to make some slight modifications to make it better. Since she inspired the bag design, I named it after her.
Then she wanted a purse to have for when she doesn't have to take her walker. So, once again, I was delving into areas on the unknown. The bag frenzy then began. I was trying out patterns, designed by others, to learn techniques and learn more about the different mediums everyone uses.
My mother is my official bag tester. She doesn't make them, but she uses them, and we discuss the functionality of the purse. I love all of the feedback, because not only does it inspire me to make a quality product, it inspires me to make changes to make purses, wristlets, and clutches to make them a more functional and useable product.
Krisy Kreations has expanded into the design business and now you kind find patterns written and sold by me as KM Designs by Krisy Kreations. Right now, I currently have one wallet design posted and I have 4 more in process and will be releasing this year. Right now some of them are in the pattern process and others are just drawings. I cannot wait to turn them from paper to product.

My pricing is based on the cost of project materials which include fabrics, interfacings, cork, hardware, etc. and the complexity of the pattern which affects how long it takes to make an item.
Items already made can ship in 1-3 business days.
Custom orders from fabrics and textiles that I have in stock can take approximately 1-3 weeks to ship. Custom orders with Cork may take longer.
Custom order requests for handbags will first incur a $20 design fee. Once an order is placed, the design fee will be applied and deducted from the final cost. All custom orders must be paid in full before I will begin working on the handbag. Custom Orders can only be cancelled within 24 hours after placing the order. Once the items has been started, I cannot refund.
All items will ship via USPS mail which will include tracking information and insurance up to $50. If any additional insurance is needed or requested, there will be an additional fee to cover the costs. Adding additional insurance to cover the price of your item will be your responsibility. Expedited shipping availability will have to be determined on an order to order basis and, if possible, cost will be determined and agreed upon prior to the final payment. I will refund any over paid postage in excess of $1.00 including postage paid when combining multiple items in one package.
Returns/Exchanges:
Custom items - No returns acccpted after a 24 hour cancellation policy starting from the time of order. All other ready can be accepted if you contact me within 3 days of delivery and the item needs to be return shipped within 7 days. You will need to cover the cost of the return shipping. Once I have verified that the item is unused and undamaged, I will refund your original purchase price minus the shipping.
