This Privacy Policy describes how and when KOKONEYUI collects, uses, and shares personal information when you purchase an item from this shop, contact the shop, or otherwise use KOKONEYUI’s services through Etsy.com and its related services.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that KOKONEYUI does not own or control, including Etsy. You can review Etsy’s Privacy Policy at https://www.etsy.com/legal/privacy/.
1. INFORMATION I COLLECT
To fulfil your order, Etsy may provide me with certain information, including your name, email address, postal address, order details, transaction or payment confirmation, and the products you have ordered.
You may also choose to provide additional personal information when contacting me through Etsy Messages or requesting a personalised or custom order.
I do not receive or store your full payment-card information. Payments are processed by Etsy and its payment providers.
2. WHY I NEED YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW I USE IT
I collect, use, and share your information only where there is a lawful basis to do so, including:
• to fulfil your order and provide the products or services you requested;
• to communicate with you about your order;
• to arrange packing, delivery, returns, refunds, or customer support;
• to settle disputes or respond to an Etsy case;
• to comply with legal, tax, accounting, customs, or regulatory obligations;
• to prevent fraud, protect the security of my shop, and enforce my shop policies;
• to comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use; and
• where you have provided clear consent for a specific purpose.
I do not add Etsy buyers to an email marketing list or use information received through an Etsy order to send unsolicited marketing messages.
3. INFORMATION SHARING AND DISCLOSURE
Information about my customers is important to my business. I share personal information only for limited purposes and where reasonably necessary, including with:
• Etsy, as necessary to provide my services and comply with the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use;
• Australia Post and other delivery providers, for the purpose of preparing, tracking, and delivering orders;
• trusted service providers that assist with functions such as postage, accounting, information storage, or business administration, only to the extent required to provide those services;
• government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties where disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, enforce agreements, respond to legal proceedings, or protect the rights and safety of KOKONEYUI, its customers, or others; and
• a successor business, if KOKONEYUI is sold, transferred, merged, or reorganised, only as permitted by law.
Third-party providers process information according to their own privacy policies and legal obligations.
4. DATA RETENTION
I retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfil orders, provide customer service, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and regulatory obligations.
Order and transaction records are generally retained for five years, in line with Australian business record-keeping requirements. Information may be retained for a longer period where required by law or necessary to resolve a dispute or legal claim.
When information is no longer reasonably required, it will be deleted, anonymised, or securely disposed of where practical and subject to applicable law.
5. TRANSFERS OUTSIDE YOUR COUNTRY
KOKONEYUI is based in Australia. Personal information received through Etsy may therefore be processed in Australia and through Etsy or other service providers located in other jurisdictions.
Where required by applicable law, personal information transferred internationally will be handled using appropriate safeguards or another legally recognised transfer mechanism. Different jurisdictions may have privacy and government-access laws that differ from those in your country.

These rights may be subject to legal exceptions. For example, I may be required to retain certain transaction information for tax, accounting, or legal purposes.
