"El hogar es donde está el arte"
Soy un artista autodidacta, y he estado garabateando y dibujando desde que tengo memoria.
Comencé a vender mi trabajo hace años en algunas tiendas locales en mi ciudad natal de Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canadá y lo disfruté mucho, durante bastante tiempo.
Descubrí Etsy hace unos años después de mudarme a mi nueva ciudad natal de Edmonton, Alberta.
Pasé un año entero preparando mi tienda de Etsy para la apertura, tomándome mi tiempo para leer MUCHOS artículos y blogs útiles sobre cómo iniciar y administrar una tienda de Etsy.
Poder organizar mi propia tienda y hacerlo desde casa en Etsy fue el lugar perfecto para mí, ya que trabajo a tiempo completo.
Es muy agradable poder trabajar en mi tienda de Etsy cuando me apetece, cuando tengo tiempo, cuando es conveniente para mí.
Desde que abrí mi tienda de Etsy en 2015, he estado desarrollando y expandiendo mi línea de productos para incluir no solo arte, sino también artículos de decoración para el hogar, como placas de conmutación, perillas de gabinetes e imanes. También hago trabajo personalizado.
En los diversos espectáculos que hago aquí en Edmonton también vendo varios otros productos que no están disponibles en mi tienda en línea.
Todos mis diseños son mi propio trabajo, y mis piezas originales son verdaderamente originales, ya que rara vez hago el mismo dibujo dos veces.
¡Los marcadores de la página de mi libro son un artículo de regalo realmente único para aquellos que son difíciles de comprar para amigos y familiares! Uso páginas de los muchos libros y diccionarios que he recopilado (¡soy un nerd de los libros!) y en realidad prefiero los libros más antiguos que tienen páginas desgastadas, desgastadas y descoloridas porque eso le da a la pieza mucho más carácter.
Realmente creo que el arte es el mejor regalo personal para dar. Para seleccionar la obra de arte adecuada, debes conocer realmente a una persona y tener una idea de lo que le gusta. ¡Recibir un regalo de arte es algo maravilloso!

"Home is Where the Art is"
I am a self-taught artist, and have been doodling and drawing for as long as I can remember.
I began selling my work years ago at a few local shops in my hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada and enjoyed it very much, for quite a long time.
I discovered Etsy a few years ago after I moved to my new hometown of Edmonton, Alberta.
I spent one entire year prepping my Etsy shop for opening, taking my time to read a LOT of articles and helpful blogs about starting and running an Etsy shop.
Being able to organize my own shop and do it from home on Etsy was the perfect venue for me, as I work full time.
It is so nice to be able to work on my Etsy shop when I feel like it, when I have time, when it is convenient for me.
Since I opened my Etsy shop in 2015 I have been developing and expanding my line of products to include not just art, but home decor items such as switchplates, cabinet knobs and magnets. I also do custom work.
At the various shows I do here in Edmonton I also sell various other products that are not available in my online shop.
All my designs are my own work, and my original pieces are truly original as I rarely do the same drawing twice.
My book page bookmarks are a really unique gift item for those hard-to-buy-for friends and family members! I use pages from the many books and dictionaries I have collected (I am a book nerd!) and I actually prefer the older books that have weathered, worn, discolored pages because that gives the piece so much more character!
I really believe art is the ultimate personal gift to give. In order to select the right piece of art you must really know a person, and have an idea what they like. To receive a gift of art is a wonderful thing!
