I love crafting. I have been making cards, hair pieces, jewelry and now decorative glassware for a while. If I see something clever that I like, one of my first thoughts is, “I wonder, if I could make that”? That’s because I love the fluidity of art; how you start off with one concept but then the piece alters as you’re working it and you come out with something even better than you initially designed. It is that ‘going with the flow’ aspect of crafting that brings me a sense of inner tranquility especially in juxtaposition with the strict mathematical precision required in my full-time career.

My inspiration is primarily my daughter. The impetus for most of what I’ve made derives from a need or want for her. Invariably there is a school event, a graduation, a holiday get-together or a fun evening at home that drives me to make something extra special and unique for her. She is my muse.

I’d like to share the product of that Zen love with others.
