As a mechanical engineer, I was very excited when my wife bought me a 3D printer for Father's Day. It wasn't long before some useful prints started making their way into our house. But what really became the first product we sold on Etsy was a holder for my wife's Clarisonic brush that she asked me to design. After a few iterations it fit perfectly and got her seal of approval. And sooner or later we started selling them on Etsy.

We've continued to add more and more products as we design them. Next was a kickstand for a phone case, then a bracket for a router, razor blade holders, cake decorating turntable, camera accessories, etc. We now have two 3D printers and a corner of our garage is usually printing products.

We don't have to rely on any factory since we make everything ourselves in our home. This allows us to keep inventory relatively low and manufacture on demand. Since our products are 3D printed, we don't have to pay for expensive molds and we have nearly zero waste. In the future we hope to grow our business to the point where we can focus on it full time.
