Letterpress is slowly taking over my house...
I sell bits and pieces through this shop, partly one offs from projects I've done, like the old Yorkshire & Lancashire fairy tale books, but mainly now Letterpress printed materials.
I've 3 printing presses, all fairly small, though I'd love the space and money to have a large press! I've a flatbed proofing press that I use most often that will print up to A3 in size, a small flatbed Adana QH that prints up to Quarto in size (just over A5), and a smaller Adana HS2 (that I rarely use). All sturdy things, largely made of cast iron!
I've a reasonable collection of type, mainly 36 point (half an inch tall) and above as I find smaller type a little too fiddly. Some is metal, made of a lead alloy, but lots of my type is made of wood, often VERY old, so the prints can show small marks and dents from decades of use from this wood type, giving them a unique character.
I've slowly been adding to the letterpress printed objects I offer through the shop, but all are printed in small batches and will come and go over time.
If you'd like a custom letterpress job, please ask and we'll try and work something out - just not something small and fiddly (like wedding invitations) please!
