I was born and grew up in a small village in Belarus. Handmade art was always appealing to me, I had many craft interests and visited an art school when I was a teenager. But later I chose another direction for my life: biomedicine. Starting my studies, I almost completely neglected my hobbies and focused more on science.
In 2020 my dream finally came true and I got a PhD position at the University Medical Center in Hamburg, I left my life in Minsk and moved to this fantastic city of Hamburg.
Later I fell in love and my boyfriend invited me to spend Christmas in 2021 with his family in South Germany, where I for the first time in my life saw these beautiful colourful stars made of glass. They hang almost on each window of the house. I was astonished by its beauty, transparency and speciality. I was even more surprised by the fact that all of them were made by his grandmother, who at that time turned 93 years old.
She was a professional stained glass artist. She made so many wonderful lamps and figurines, many of which she sold, many gave to her friends as a present and left as well for herself to decorate her place depending on feasts or seasons. She stopped doing her art more than 20 years ago and all her precious glasses are dusting somewhere in the garage.
Nobody in her family wanted to continue her work, until the day when her grandson brought me, his girlfriend to the family :) she was very happy to show me everything she remembers and gave me as a present all her equipment and glasses. Of course, something was lost over time, something was too old to use, but I got a real treasure.
We spent only a few days in South Germany and all the small points, and critical moments of the stained glass production I searched and learned by myself on Youtube, instagram or books. The process is long, but so interesting and for me it became kind of anti-stress after a hard day at the lab. So since April 2022, I have made Tiffany art regularly! I made many window decorations for my flat and it looks so nice!
I see that not many people know about this rare and intersecting art (like me 2 years ago), my city is so gorgeous, but its windows are empty and colourful glass could make them much more interesting. So I decided to open an online shop here and I'm so happy to see you like it!

5 out of 5 starsThe suncatcher is beautiful in person, with a nice complementary arrangement of different shades and textures, resonating in the light. Store owner / artist is very nice, communicative, and proactively willing to help out in any way they can

5 out of 5 starsBeautiful piece of artwork with a niche motif/theme that reflects my profession. My workspace is markedly enhanced by the way the colored glass catches the light. Though this was somewhat pricey, I couldn’t be happier with my purchase.
