Hi, I’m Sophie - the person behind LumiStitches.
I opened my shop in 2025, but I’ve liked making things by hand for as long as I can remember. I’ve always been drawn to delicate, beautiful, and cute creations with a touch of realism, and crochet slowly became one of my favorite ways to bring those ideas to life.
Over time, I started creating my own patterns. I really enjoy the process of turning an idea into something that can be written down step by step, so someone else can make it too. I often spend a lot of time adjusting shapes, testing proportions, and reworking small details until everything feels just right.
The name “Lumi” comes from my cat. He’s a British Shorthair and is usually around when I’m working. Sometimes my inspiration comes from him, and sometimes from everyday little things—flowers, small animals, and simple designs that feel soft and comforting. I like designs that feel gentle, a little playful, and quietly lifelike.
Every pattern you find here is thoughtfully designed to be more than instructions.
They are meant to be experiences, moments of slowing down, of creating something with your hands, stitch by stitch, just like the quiet rhythm of a peaceful afternoon.
When I design a pattern, I try to keep it clear and easy to follow, while still making it feel a bit special. I want the process to be enjoyable, not stressful.
