Hi! Thanks for visiting the colourful sparkly world of Mazdevallia!
For the last 15 years I've been a large-scale abstract painter but in 2017 I started making wearable-art jewellery whilst looking to bring a spark to my everyday outfits.
In all of my creative pursuits, minimalism has never really been my forte so a few one-off earring creations soon turned into a creative obsession!
All of my pieces are unique as I hand-craft and hand-paint all of my components. I use a layering process that I've learned from many years as a painter to achieve the most interesting colour effects and patterns. For me, creating each pair of earrings is like creating a miniature work of art and it's the imperfections that make them truly special.
I believe in slow-fashion and am proud to be creating a collection of jewellery that is not mass produced.
I produce jewellery in small batches with new styles and colours coming out regularly so be sure to keep an eye out for shop updates.
And what's with the name you ask? Some people like to call me Maz and it's a play on Masdevallia which is a type of orchid. I'm a total plant-lover so it was perfect fit.
