5 out of 5 starsThis is a MASSIVE book that can’t be sent in one file under current site limitations -so what you are purchasing is a link to a Google drive document. It is complete, clear, and although there is some foxing on the page edges, it is faint and does not interfere with readability. Having gotten the tech stuff out of the way – if you are into postwar home sewing, or if you make stage costumes or dress vintage dolls, you will want this book, particularly for this price. It offers an extensive overview of what the well-dressed woman would make for her wardrobe in the summer of 1951. As a bonus, there is a free pattern for a collar included, something to dress up your dresses and suits.
